If you’ve been reading my blog for any period of time, you know that I’m a big believer in Monthly Client Newsletters. They are the single best way to increase sales, increase loyalty, and increase referrals from your current client base.
Here’s the problem with most businesses…they ignore their current clients! Why? Well, because looking for new clients is sexier than enhancing your relationship with current clients.
The truth is once a client has opened your wallet to you one time, they are far more likely to do so in the future. Monthly client newsletters are the only way that I know of to get them to purchase more from you more consistently in the near future.
Why do I keep saying “Monthly”? Because people have short memories. They are constantly bombarded by your competition and if you don’t keep your name in front of them, they’ll go elsewhere. Consider these newsletters an investment in retaining each of these good customers.
Now, these newsletters don’t need to be filled with information about your business alone. They should be person. Share stuff that you and your family did on vacation or for Christmas. The key is that you want them to know and feel like they are doing business with a trusted family friend. Not just some faceless corporation.
